Golden-brown pizza crunchers filled with gooey melted cheese and pepperoni, served with a side of marinara dipping sauce.

Pizza Crunchers Are the New Pizza Rolls – Here’s How to Make Them

Pizza Crunchers are the ultimate snackable bites—crispy on the outside, melty and cheesy on the inside. These easy-to-make handheld treats are stuffed with pepperoni, mozzarella, and pizza sauce, then wrapped in wonton wrappers and baked until golden and crunchy. Perfect for game day, after-school snacks, or party appetizers, they deliver all the flavor of pizza in a bite-sized crunch!

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 pizza crunchers

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (or chopped regular pepperoni)

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes or grated Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni, pizza sauce, and Italian seasoning.

  • Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of the filling to the center of each wrapper.

  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it over into a triangle or rectangle, pressing edges to seal completely.

  • Place the filled crunchers on the baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can air fry these at 375°F for 6–8 minutes for an even crispier version.

  • Swap out pepperoni for cooked sausage, mushrooms, or veggies for a meatless version.

  • To make ahead, assemble and freeze uncooked crunchers on a tray, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding 2–3 minutes to cook time.
