Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
Stir in the chopped parsley, chives, and thyme.
Add the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
Transfer the butter mixture onto a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap.
Roll into a log shape and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
Slice into rounds and place on hot steak just before serving, allowing the butter to melt into the meat.
Notes
This butter is not just for steak! Try it on grilled chicken, seafood, vegetables, or even warm bread.
For a smoky twist, add a dash of liquid smoke.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
